grasshopper pestGrasshoppers can consume as much as one-half of their body weight each day. They cause damage by chewing on the leaves and stems of plants. Management can be accomplished through direct removal, protection of crops using row covers, or by attracting predatory insects like wasps that will keep the grasshoppers out.
